Very clean,friendly atmosphere, pleasant stay. We will be back if come back to quitman

I stayed for several weeks this fall and I was very pleased. The room I had was clean with very comfortable bed. The recent renovations have made this a very nice place to stay. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, and the room price is very reasonable. There is also a great Italian restaurant right next door. The only change I would make is to replace the metal ice scoop with a plastic one, as it was a little bit rusty.

Tina and the staff are great! Friendly and fast service. Good prices especially for the quality of rooms. Good area. Everybody is friendly. We been here for lil over a month for work and it's been wonderful

The people there are very nice and helpful. They took care of our requests with no problems. The rooms are updated and nice inside. The bathroom in our room was almost as large as the rest of the room. Great price, good service and clean.

This is the absolute nicest country motel I've ever stayed at. Rooms smell clean, are clean, fresh new bedding, and no cigarette smoke smell. Totally ignore all of the older bad reviews because these motel owners have put in the work! Worth every dime! These guys know how to run a motel!

Background: We tend to stay in Hiltons AND also look for ways to stay in the independent motels which have a lot of positive feedback. Looking for a room near Mineola during a recent visit with family members, we read all the reviews for several independently owned motels/hotels, campgrounds, lodges, etc, and chose to visit Clear Lakes Inn, in Quitman, TX. We were quite pleased with our stay -- another gem found along the roadway. Our room was a fantastic value for the money. Very tidy, clean, and comfortable. Refrigerator, microwave, TV -- all in working order and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Entire room had been renovated with tile and/or stone flooring, updated decor and furnishings. Water temps and shower head (large, good flow rate) were great! Bathroom fixtures (tub, toilet, vanity/sink) looked new compared to the age of the motel. It's obvious the owners have been renovating and updating the rooms. google map review has problems with uploading my photos. We have found other small motels/hotels owned and staffed by competent and kind people. The same was found at Clear Lakes Inn. I have been recommending this business to others I know who travel in this area of the state. Safe Travels. Sleep well.

This is a small country motel located on a state highway just outside of Quitman, Texas. There is nothing special about it except that it is a great place to stay. Nothing fancy but totally adequate. The bed was very comfortable, the comforter very warm and cozy, the heat in the room controlled by digital thermostat was nice and warm - especially important because temperature dropped to low 30's overnight and not above 45 the next day. Water was hot, coffee maker was adequately supplied and the mini-refrigerator had plenty of space. The small microwave worked great. The bathroom was very clean and there were plenty of towels. The bathroom was a tight squeeze but it wasn't like there were two of us in there trying to get ready at the same time. I would have liked there to have been one more upholstered chair because the one chair and desk were at the entrance and I like to have one close to the TV with my feet on the bed, but I somehow survived by just dragging the one chair where I wanted to use it. The cable did cut in and out on Saturday evening and most of Sunday morning before I check out but I had my tablet docked to my phone so it wasn't a problem when their WIFI/cable connection dropped. Out in the country with miserable cold rain and clouds are all reasons that a satellite connection would drop.

Sounds great. I am to stay 30 days with them because my house burned to the ground. My insurance STATE FARM picked this place. I am anxious to stay here.
